Sustained growth and the diversification of client activity into specialist and niche areas, particularly in the private equity industry, has led to Christina Fernholz joining EY as Senior Manager in the Channel Islands’ Audit and Assurance team.

Sustained growth and the diversification of client activity into specialist and niche areas, particularly in the private equity industry, has led to Christina Fernholz joining EY as Senior Manager in the Channel Islands’ Audit and Assurance team.

An experienced professional with an international background in banking and capital markets, Christina has worked with EY for over 12 years, primarily operating from the firm’s Frankfurt office.

Christina joins the Jersey office with a strong track record of leading project teams and working with businesses which operate in cross-jurisdictional environments.

In her new role, Christina will use her in depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), extensive experience working with complex financial instruments and understanding of capital market structures to focus on supporting clients with private equity and real estate investments, leading teams selected to match specialist skills with client needs.

Having qualified as an accountant in both the United States and Germany and holding a degree in Banking, Christina’s expertise is underpinned by a strong academic background.

Having moved to Jersey with her husband and daughter, Christina and her family have been enjoying the benefits of a Jersey summer and the proximity to the islands beaches, St Brelade’s in particular.

“Working and living in the Channel Islands presents new and exciting challenges for my family and I. We’ve found it easy to settle down and engage in the pastimes that we enjoyed in Germany, for instance, I’ve joined the gym at Fort Regent. I’m enjoying working with my new colleagues, ensuring we provide the highest quality service to our clients,” said Christina Fernholz.

Andrew Dann EY’s Channel Islands Managing Partner, said “Christina’s appointment further strengthens our experience and expertise we are able to provide our international and diverse client base.”
