easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has today put on sale new flights to London Gatwick and Belfast.
In September easyJet confirmed it would operate three flights per day to London Gatwick from Jersey Airport and would also introduce a twice weekly summer service to Belfast on Tuesday and Saturday. Flights to both destinations are available now at www.easyJet.com
Ali Gayward, Commercial Manager for easyJet, said: "We are pleased to put on sale easyJet's new flights to London Gatwick and Belfast International, which underlines our continued commitment to providing Jersey with easy and affordable flights.
“The flights are good news for business travellers who will be able to do a day trip to London or secure a low cost fare to Northern Ireland. Belfast and London are also popular and vibrant city break locations and we expect to carry several thousand passengers to Northern Ireland next summer to enjoy sights such as the Titanic Museum and Giant’s Causeway.”
On behalf of Jersey Airport, Group Commercial Director for Ports of Jersey, Myra Shacklady, said: “2014 will not only mark the sixth year of easyJet’s operation to and from Jersey but will also see an increase in its network to six routes, which I am sure will provide an excellent and affordable choice for both leisure and business travellers.
“The London Gatwick route, in particular, is of vital importance to the Island and therefore will be of great benefit to both the tourism and business economy”.
easyJet's new services to Jersey brings the total number of easyJet routes to the island to six alongside its existing services from London Southend, Liverpool, Glasgow and Newcastle.
