This brand new title which covers civil court procedure rules in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man has been compiled by Carey Olsen Counsel, Richard Holden.

Offshore Civil Procedure is published by leading legal publisher, Sweet and Maxwell, as a companion volume to its Civil Procedure (the "White Book"). It extends the White Book's coverage to Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man and is the only "how to" textbook on Court rules and procedure in these jurisdictions.

Offshore Civil Procedure follows the White Book format with detailed commentary and decided cases in respect of each rule, and is fully cross referenced to the main White Book as well as internally between the three offshore jurisdictions covered.

It covers all stages of civil litigation, from injunctions, pre-action and interim relief, commencement, service out, and case management, to trial, appeal and enforcement. It collects all the relevant rules in one place to which Richard has added detailed commentary and case references, and is set to be the standard reference for all lawyers in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

In a foreword to the work, English Court of Appeal judge Lord Justice Jackson describes as "invaluable … for anyone litigating offshore".

Richard Holden said: "Like many lawyers and professionals working in the offshore world I was struck by the lack of a "White Book" or equivalent for the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.  I am very grateful to Sweet & Maxwell for their enthusiasm in publishing this and delighted by the welcome it has already received".
