This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Alderney Theatre Group which this year reaped several awards with an outstanding play written by Lee Flewitt and performed in Alderney, Guernsey and Coventry - and there’s every intention to make sure this celebration year will end on a high note.

And whilst there won't be a panto this year, the Alderney Theatre Group will be staging a very special production – a hilarious show guaranteed to bring the house down.

“Everybody who’s watched the popular TV series “The Vicar of Dibley” will be absolutely thrilled to learn that we have obtained permission by Tiger Aspect Productions to perform “A Vicar of Dibley Christmas – The Second Coming”, said Lee Flewitt, Chairman of the Alderney Theatre Group.

This 2-act play, written by Ian Gower and Paul Carpenter, was adapted from the original TV series by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer.

A 14-strong cast of all ages, including young children and several new thespians, is being directed by the formidable Charlotte Newton. And, judging by the energy and enthusiasm displayed at the rehearsals, every member of the cast is absolutely determined to make this a show you'll enjoy and remember for all the right reasons!

The cast features Alex Flewitt in the leading role as Rev. Geraldine Granger, in the familiar and hilarious company of Owen Newitt (Lee Flewitt), Alice Horton (Rosie Evans), Jim Trott (David Cranwell) , Letitia Cropley (Lesley Chapman ), David Horton (Tobias Hanbury), Frank Pickle (David Stanley), Hugo Horton (Ian Corder), the Vet (JoJo Corder), and the children Annie (Willow Kirkland), Katie (Willow Pycroft), Lizzie (Aoife O’Toole), Cameron (Imogen Cotton) and Luke (Max Cotton)

Tickets £15 (£12 for under 16’s) are now on sale at Anchors.
