December sees the return of late-night shopping on Thursday’s, in the run-up to Christmas.
We want everyone to be having a great time, but remember to keep security in your mind.
Our message is simple: see it, say and we’ll sort it.
A Bailiwick Law Enforcement spokesman said:
“Late night Christmas shopping returns to St Peter Port over the next three Thursday nights. As per usual we have a comprehensive policing plan in place, and as you go about buying presents for your nearest and dearest you will notice an enhanced visible police presence. There is absolutely nothing to worry about, we are there to keep you safe and provide reassurance. We’re asking you to be a part of that, to trust your instincts and remember that if you see something that just doesn’t seem right, tell us. See it, say it and we’ll sort it. There is no specific threat to any local event, but everyone should vigilant when they are out and about, and keep security at the top of their minds – advice for here and abroad. Have fun and stay safe.”
