Joyce Kelso, head of groups at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising has joined the board of LRD as a non-executive director. As a highly respected agency professional Ms Kelso has worked in the advertising and communications industry around the world for over 30 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the Channel Island agency.

Career highlights include working on such campaigns as the PG Tips chimps, as well as Coca-Cola brands such as Lilt, Fanta and Sprite. After a period of running her own events company, she travelled the world and worked on the Sydney Olympics in 2000 before returning to the UK to join travel and tourism specialists SOUK Communications as client service director. In 2008 she left the UK for three years to run Bermuda’s leading advertising agency.

LRD Managing Director Tom Robertshaw believes that Ms Kelso’s experience will be invaluable to the agency as it grows its business: ‘I have known Joyce for many years having worked with her on large accounts at agencies in London.

‘Her drive, enthusiasm and business knowledge will add real value to our offering and I am delighted that we now sit on the same board together. The IPA is the professional trade body for advertising, media and marketing communications agencies in the UK and her role as head of groups gives LRD a real insight into the collective intelligence of the best agencies in the country.

‘Joyce has a proven track record in managing agency professionals to achieve great results through thought-leadership, high profile events and innovative brand communication. She is a very welcome addition to the LRD family.’
