Le Friquet Garden Centre are excited to announce the return of Ice Skate Guernsey, the island’s only real ice rink, this December for its fifth year.
Located in the covered central atrium of Le Friquet Garden Centre, with the entrance via the Christmas Department, Ice Skate Guernsey offers a unique multi-faceted experience all contained within the garden centre, including Santa’s Grotto, Guernsey’s largest Christmas product ranges and award-winning displays, free parking and three eateries - Café des Amis, Terrazzo Del Giardino and Le Chalet.
Ice Skate Guernsey PR Manager, Tyler Bourgaize, said “It just wouldn’t feel like Christmas in Guernsey without local events such as the ice rink and we are looking forward to another busy year at Le Friquet this December. The team works exceptionally hard every year to make sure this great event returns bigger and better than ever, and we have some very exciting plans that we will share later this year to make this season our best yet.”
Opening on Saturday December 5th at 10am, the 20m x 20m covered outdoor real ice rink also offer a fully covered Skate Exchange where skaters can collect their skates, store belongings and hire skate aids for children under 8 years old. Skating sessions will take place on the hour and each session will last for 45 minutes. The rink will be in operation until 5pm on Tuesday January 5th 2021 to allow skaters to enjoy the experience right up until schools re-open.
Private, birthday and Christmas parties can be booked in advance, as can exclusive skating sessions by corporate groups, community organisations, schools and charities subject to availability.
