Clameur Du Cinéma’s first screening of 2022 is Annette, a musical collaboration between director Leos Carax (Holy Motors) and pop duo Sparks.
Screening at The Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts, the film focuses on a stand-up comedian (Adam Driver) and his opera singer wife (Marion Cotillard) who have a two-year-old daughter with a surprising gift.
Wynter Tyson, the organiser of Clameur Du Cinéma, said “After a rather subdued Christmas, it’s great to start 2022 with a bold, visually inventive film. It’s as singular, odd and theatrical a work as what we’ve come to expect from Leos Carax and I think the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts is the perfect venue.”
