Clameur Du Cinéma is bringing Seven Samurai (1954) to the big screen in Guernsey. Screening at The Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts on 8 March, the film focuses on a village that hires a group of samurai to protect it from a vicious gang of bandits.
The film was directed by legendary Japanese director Akira Kurosawa and is widely regarded as not only being highly influential in the action genre but also as one of the greatest films ever made.
Wynter Tyson, the organiser of Clameur Du Cinéma, said “I am very excited to be screening Seven Samurai, it’s a film that featured heavily in my own, and many others’, understanding of cinema and it continues to inspire film makers and film fans all over the world. This is a rare chance to see this incredible action epic on the big screen, with an audience.”

Seven Samurai is being screened at 6.45pm, Tuesday 8 March 2022 at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts. Tickets cost £7, £5 or £10 and can be booked via www.guernseytickets.gg or in person at the PRCPA box office. The film is rated PG.
