Ian Brown’s Cycle Shop 30 Rides in 30 Days Challenge starts on Saturday 29th April with a First Day Breakfast for all the riders at The Kiln at Oatlands. This is the sixteenth year and there are 75 participants. Riders will all be wearing distinctive white and orange jerseys this year and will be riding their bikes for one hour each day over 30 consecutive days raising money for Les Bourgs Hospice.

Since 2008 the annual cycling challenge has raised one million pounds for Les Bourgs Hospice.

Specsavers are primary supporters of the event and Woodies Coffee are giving a donation from each cup of coffee sold from their outlets during the thirty days.

Organiser, Ian Brown of Ian Brown’s Cycle Shop said; “The Les Bourgs Hospice fundraising activities have long been associated with cyclists and the Rocque to Rock bike ride. This challenge is for those individuals and teams who want to go the extra mile in both effort of 30 Rides in 30 Days and fundraising for Les Bourgs. Over the years work groups, friendship groups and families have become regular participants and increasingly riders take part on electric bikes. The challenge has never been about how fast or how far you cycle but that you do so for one hour each day for thirty consecutive days.”

The final 30th day of the Challenge will be on Sunday 28th May when the riders will meet up again at Ian Brown’s Cycle Shop at the end of their challenge to ride to finish of the Rocque to Rock bike ride at North Beach.
