Guernsey Post has announced it will no longer be able to sell or exchange Postal Orders for cash with effect from 28 September.
A postal order is an order for payment of a specified sum to a named payee, issued by the Post Office.
Cassy Fish, Head of Customer Relationships said: “Unfortunately the UK Post Office has taken the decision to withdraw the sale of their Postal Orders across the Channel Islands.
"This means we can no longer sell Postal Orders, nor will we be able to exchange them for cash. We would encourage any customers holding onto valid postal orders to cash them in before this date.”
