Carey Olsen has had seven of its corporate partners in the Channel Islands recognised as experts in the 2019 Who's Who Legal Private Funds Guide.
Guernsey partner David Crosland gained further recognition as one of three 'global elite thought leaders' for the offshore region.
He is described by the guide as 'very highly rated in the international marketplace' and as someone who 'comes highly recommended for his vast experience in establishing investment funds'. Thought leaders are individuals who received the highest number of nominations from peers, corporate counsel and other market sources, and have been identified by the research as being truly outstanding practitioners and leaders in their field.
Mr Crosland said: "It is an honour to be recognised as one of three global elite thought leaders for the offshore region. It is also pleasing that so many of my colleagues have featured within the guide. It underlines the strength of our funds practice not only in the Channel Islands but also further afield."
Ben Morgan, partner and head of Carey Olsen's corporate and finance group in Guernsey, is also highlighted within the guide's commentary. He is described as 'an excellent lawyer' and someone with a 'stellar investment fund practice'.
The other five partners to be recognised were: Christopher Anderson, Andrew Boyce and Tom Carey (Guernsey); Robert Milner and James Mulholland (Jersey).
Since 1996, Who's Who Legal has identified the foremost legal practitioners in business law based upon comprehensive, independent research. Nominees are selected based on independent survey work with general counsel and private practice lawyers worldwide. The Private Funds Guide comprises fund formation specialists and regulatory experts from more than 100 law firms across 28 countries.
