Walkers Channel Islands team doubles TISE listings

Tuesday 07 January 2020

Walkers' Channel Islands listings team has increased its market share on The International Stock Exchange and climbed into the top three listings sponsors having more than doubled the number of listings it advised on in the last 12 months.

The Jersey and Guernsey-based team led by senior counsel Christophe Kalinauckas was the only one of the leading players to increase the number of listings that it advised and acted on in 2019, against the backdrop of a decrease in overall listings figures on TISE after the record performance in 2018.

The team was boosted in 2019 by the arrivals of listings manager Grace Pickering in the Jersey office, and listings assistant Anna Slusarczyk in the Guernsey office, both of whom previously worked for TISE and who have brought with them significant technical expertise.

Those new arrivals are part of the overall strategic growth in the Channel Islands offices across 2019 which is continuing this year.

Mr Kalinauckas said that the listings work was continuing with a healthy pipeline running into 2020, including green securities, securitisation structures, high yield bonds and private equity acquisition finance work.

He said: "It's very pleasing to see that having more than doubled the number of listings that we advised on in 2019, we are continuing to win work and build market share, and we are already on track to continue that growth in 2020.

"The growth in our team in Jersey and Guernsey has enabled us to offer an even more responsive service, and bringing onboard team members with recent first-hand knowledge of TISE procedures and processes has been extremely valuable. This has been welcomed by our issuers and their advisers alike."
