Upgrades to Guernsey Registry IT

Monday 20 November 2023

The Guernsey Registry is upgrading its IT systems as the existing infrastructure is said to be ageing and in need of replacement to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of Registry users, and modern AML and CFT requirements.

The Guernsey Registry said the changes that have been made to the system include enhanced functionality for users, and greater reporting and analysis capability for staff.

The inclusion of modern security features also ensures the ongoing accuracy and security of the data that the Registry holds.

"The new system will assist Guernsey in demonstrating its effectiveness in AML/CFT in the upcoming MoneyVal assessment via enhanced reporting capabilities," the Registry said.

The changes should all be completed before annual validations have to be submitted.

There will be some changes when accessing the new look portal, with increased security measures. The Registry team will be able to help anyone with questions about this.

"We appreciate that moving to a new system will be challenging but hope that we can work together to ensure this process is as smooth as possible, to ensure that the new system works for our users, and to ensure that Guernsey continues to be a jurisdiction of choice for businesses both now and in the future," said the Registry.
