Ogier's Dispute Resolution team is growing across the Channel Islands with the appointment of two senior Advocates in the Jersey and Guernsey teams.
In Guernsey, Advocate Bryan de Verneuil-Smith has joined the team as a Managing Associate.
And in Jersey, contentious trusts specialist Advocate Damian Evans has joined as Counsel.
In Guernsey, Mr de Verneuil-Smith has most recently represented the executive directors of Carlyle Capital Corporation in the jurisdiction's biggest ever civil trial.
An active member of the Guernsey International Legal Association, he has a broad commercial litigation practice which covers financial services disputes, banking litigation and contentious insolvency.
Partner Mathew Newman said: "Our team continues to grow due to client demand and a strong flow of instructions covering restructuring, contentious trusts, commercial litigation and regulatory matters.
"Bryan comes to us with a strong reputation, and members of our team have worked closely with him on the Carlyle trial and appeal - we look forward to his arrival."
