Two Julius Baer employees are celebrating their 30th anniversary at the branch, tying in with the company’s inception.
When Julius Baer took over from Aitken Hume in June 1994, it employed a small team of ten.
Two of those employees were Anna Ducellier and Zoe Sexton. Both of whom remain part of today's 150 strong team at Julius Baer.
Ms Ducellier was first employed by Aitken Hume in 1989, and once Julius Baer bought the business, she became a Relationship Manager with key responsibilities for Julius Baer clients.
“I have been lucky enough to transition between various departments and have been involved in multiple key projects, such as collaborating with Julius Baer’s Head Office to implement new systems and standards," she recalled.
"Having achieved Director level, I believe the key to professional growth is a positive mindset, and ongoing training, which Julius Baer has offered throughout my role.”
Ms Sexton joined Aitken Hume as a school leaver in 1993, one year before Julius Baer took it over.
“The company has changed so much since then – we handled various tasks that now belong to specialised departments; however I am now Deputy to the Financial Controller in the Finance Department," she said.
"I’m proud of my achievements and how hard I’ve worked for Julius Baer through the 30 years. I met my husband here, who then worked for Julius Baer Trust Company, and have had two children.”

The 30th anniversary of Julius Baer in Guernsey was celebrated with an employee summer barbecue at the end of June. Each employee will also receive a special gift, to commemorate their hard work.
Julius Baer also rewards long-serving employees with extra paid leave or a cash award every five years. Ms Ducellier will be celebrating her milestone with a lunch alongside her line manager and other long-service employees while Ms Sexton said: “I don’t have major holiday plans at the moment, but the extra leave is a wonderful gesture.”
Alexandra McInnes, Managing Director of Julius Baer Guernsey, said each of the three milestones is a cause for celebration.
“Celebrating 30 years in Guernsey is a remarkable milestone for Julius Baer. Over the past three decades, our branch has grown significantly, both in size and capability, establishing a strong presence in the local community.
“We also recognise the invaluable contributions of Anna and Zoe, who have been with us since the very beginning. Their milestones are a significant achievement for the business as well and we are deeply grateful for their unwavering commitment.”
