Three Ogier partners named in Legal 500 list

Thursday 09 August 2018

Ogier partners Steve Meiklejohn, Simon Davies and Julie Melia have been named in the inaugural Legal 500 Hall of Fame celebrating "partners who are at the pinnacle" of the legal profession.

Mr Meiklejohn is Ogier's Global Senior Partner and a long-standing member of the Jersey Private Client and Trusts team, Mr Davies is a Guernsey Dispute Resolution partner and the head of the firm's Global Dispute Resolution team, and Ms Melia is a partner in the Jersey property law team and the head of the firm's Probate and Estates practice.

Legal 500 say that those included in the Hall of Fame have received "constant praise by their clients for continued excellence" and describes those recognized as "the law firm partners who are at the pinnacle of the profession".

The most recent edition of Legal 500 highlights Mr Meiklejohn's "exceptional knowledge and experience in the private client field", notes that Simon is "in high demand for the most difficult cases" and says that Julie "makes clients feel confident they will achieve the right outcome".

Jonathan Hughes, Ogier's Global Senior Service Line head, said: "This is very welcome recognition for three of our most senior leaders which reflects not just their technical expertise and status in the market, but also the hard work of the teams that they lead.

"Steve, Simon and Julie are widely recognised as leaders in their fields of practice and the feedback cited by Legal 500 demonstrates just how much they are valued by their clients."
