Carey Olsen has promoted six lawyers to its partnership across its network of offshore offices, including Tim Bamford, Rachel De La Haye, and Andrew Tually in Guernsey.

The promotions, which take effect from 1 July, bring the total number of partners across the Carey Olsen group to 84.

The other promotions see Michelle Falcucci, Richard Sykes, and Nienke Malan made partners in Bermuda, Cayman Islands, and Jersey respectively.

"Congratulations to Michelle, Richard, Tim, Rachel, Andrew and Nienke on their thoroughly deserved promotions," said Carey Olsen Group Managing Partner Alex Ohlsson.

"Each of these individuals are a true asset to the firm – dedicated, hard-working and committed to consistently providing their clients with the highest level of service. I am proud to welcome this talented group of lawyers to the partnership."

Mr Bamford joined Carey Olsen in 2002, and qualified as a Guernsey Advocate in 2017. He works in the Litigation team, with a particular focus on complex international commercial disputes, banking and finance disputes, corporate restructuring and insolvency, regulatory actions and intellectual property matters.

Ms De La Haye joined the firm full-time in 2013 and was admitted as an Advocate of the Royal Court in 2019. She advises on a wide range of Corporate matters, with a keen interest in the establishment, regulation and operation of investment funds as well as on general corporate and regulatory issues and banking and financing transactions. 

Mr Tually joined Carey Olsen in 2007 as a Corporate Lawyer and has significant experience in the structuring, formation and regulation of Guernsey open and closed-ended collective investment schemes investing in private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure and hedge funds.
