Sure Business gets new cybersecurity professional

Tuesday 20 August 2024

Ryan Da Silva has been promoted to bolster cybersecurity expertise at Sure Business.

Mr Da Silva joined the company six years ago but has worked through the ranks of the academy and will now lead on providing web and security fixes for customers as Enterprise Support Mimecast Specialist.

Mimecast provides cloud services for email security, archiving and business continuity.

He said: “Cybersecurity attacks have now become commonplace for businesses, as they are often targeted via email or online. We receive multiple tickets with this issue daily, which is why it’s so important for Sure to have a specialist on hand to support with these complex issues.

“My main responsibility will be to deal with customers who face anything from defending against sophisticated email attacks to ensuring clients stay ahead of threats. I am looking forward to applying my extensive knowledge about Mimecast and harness this to solve customer issues as efficiently as possible.”

Application Support Manager, Sean Brennan, added: “It can be very easy for businesses to fall victim to cybersecurity threats if they do not have sufficient expertise or the insight to identify what a threat might look like.

“Ryan’s deep understanding of Mimecast and his ability to deliver this product enriches our cyber security portfolio hugely. He provides quality support to each of our customers with efficiency and instils confidence that their problems will be resolved in a timely fashion. Ryan has a real drive to deliver the ultimate customer experience which makes him a real asset to the team.”
