Success for Carey Olsen at PE Wire Awards

Thursday 12 March 2020

Carey Olsen has won the Best Law Firm - Fund Structuring category at the 2020 PE Wire European Awards.

The awards, which are hosted by funds publication privateequitywire, aim to recognise some of the top private equity managers, investors, consultants, advisers and service providers.

The publication partnered with leading financial data and software company, PitchBook to shortlist firms for each category. Readers were then polled over an eight week period to find the winners. Overall, the votes were split 27% investors, 38% fund managers and 35% service providers.

The firm's award success comes shortly after the publication of the annual Guernsey and Jersey fund reports by independent fund industry research group, Monetary Insight. Once again, Carey Olsen was named the number one legal adviser to investment funds in Guernsey, while it also bagged first place among legal advisers to Jersey domiciled funds.

"Private equity work is a mainstay of our legal offering across the group and we're delighted to see Carey Olsen recognised as the leading law firm working in the fund structuring space by the readers of privateequitywire," said Guernsey Corporate Partner, Christopher Anderson.

"We continue to work on some of the largest, most innovative and ground breaking deals in the private equity sector as well as advising fledgling managers on the establishment of first time funds. This award is both an endorsement of our broad range of expertise and a credit to the hard work and talent of our people."
