Specsavers marketeers receive industry recognition

Friday 09 July 2021

Two Guernsey-based Specsavers employees have been acknowledged globally for their talents and contributions to the marketing industry.

Eilish Ashworth, 26, was selected from hundreds of entries across the world, to be listed in the 50 best emerging marketers as part of The Drum’s ‘Future 50’ list.

The former Ladies’ College student joined Specsavers in 2017 as a marketing manager at the La Villiaze support office, before being promoted to senior marketing manager earlier this year.

"The last year has been a challenge for everyone and the only constant we could rely on was change," said Miss Ashworth.

"It has been an exciting time to be a marketer and get involved with some big challenges, that I have learnt so much from, shaping the role I am in today. I am delighted to have been recognised, alongside some brilliant marketers, as part of the Future 50."

The achievement comes as two fellow Specsavers colleagues were also recognised in the same week.

Guernsey-based Victoria Simpson-Clarke, Head of Marketing Activation, and UK-based Julia Arenson, Head of Creative Operations, featured in Campaign’s 40 Over 40 list. The new award scheme celebrates those who have made an ‘exceptional contribution to their company or the wider industry during their careers’.
