One of Guernsey's recruitment agencies has been bought by two long serving employees.

Jenny Mitchell and Melissa Campbell are now joint owners of Situations Recruitment, having bought the majority shareholding of the agency’s founder, Patrick Lynch.

He said; “Jenny and Melissa have been managing the business for many years now and I’m delighted to pass the ownership onto both of them to take the business forward.”

Ms Mitchell joined Situations in 2001 and Ms Campbell the following year.  They have been Directors of the business since 2002 and are both Fellows of the REC UK, having come from backgrounds of PR and travel in Ms Mitchell's case and the legal field in Ms Campbell's.

The pair said: “We’re focussed on looking at the future of Situations whilst continuing to run this very successful Guernsey recruitment agency with a great team of qualified and experienced staff.”

In addition, one of their team, Nadine Gavey, has just been promoted to Director of the company, making a majority female board.  She joined Situations 4 years ago from a background of HR and Recruitment gained at major players in London and Guernsey and she holds the Master’s in HR Management.  Ms Campbell said: “Nadine is a great addition to our board and brings a quality HR perspective to the business.”

Situations has expanded from 5 to 9 staff in recent years and the new owners plan further growth.
