A disputes specialist from international law firm Walkers has been called to the Bar as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey.
Helena Lavin works in the firm’s Insolvency and Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
Ms Lavin said: "I am very pleased to become an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey.
"This is a key milestone for any Guernsey disputes lawyer… I am looking forward to getting into Court."
Ms Lavin has been working in Guernsey since 2013 and specialises in insolvency and corporate disputes.
She has also worked in England, Dubai and Oman.
Her call to the Bar was welcomed by Walkers’ partner Alison Ozanne.
"We are all delighted by Helena's achievement, especially as she has undergone the rigorous qualification process during the restrictions enforced by the global pandemic," said Ms Ozanne.
