Recruitment consultant promoted on 10-year work anniversary

Having joined the family business a decade ago, Senior Recruitment Consultant Marcel Magloire has now been promoted to Manager at Firstcall Recruitment.

"I’m thrilled with the promotion. I’m really looking forward to the changes ahead - building a team with a desire for recruitment and achieving success, in a truly people-oriented environment," said Mr Magloire.

"I’m fortunate enough to now be at a point where I’m able to lean upon my experience.

"My promotion has taken a phased approach, and over the past three or four years I’ve played a much more involved part, not only with client services but also operations, which has been challenging but worthwhile and rewarding."

The global recruitment specialists have also taken on Associate Consultant, Jack Medhurst, who has a background in finance. The former Grammar School student said he opted for a career in recruitment for several reasons.

"I enjoy meeting new people and viewed this type of role as a good fit to utilise my personality. I also saw a chance to enrich others in meeting their career aspirations, and equally to see the success I can achieve in a new environment working with people,’ said Mr Medhurst, who plays football for Rovers and represents the island in the U21s squad.

"I want to become a highly successful recruiter at this company, and I’d say my goal for the moment is to become a senior recruitment consultant as soon as possible."
