Over £8,000 has been raised to help the valuable work of the Guernsey-based charity the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation.

Thanks to the generosity of the 300 attendees at the Guernsey Property & Construction Awards, a total of £8,248 was handed to Andy Priaulx, Guernsey’s three-times World Touring Car champion, and his wife Jo, who founded the charity after the premature births of both of their own children.

The funds are used to maintain and support the property owned by the charity near Southampton Hospital, which houses desperate families needing accommodation to be near their children whilst undergoing often life-saving treatment.

Julie Todd, organiser of the Awards said: “It was a real pleasure to raise such a fantastic amount of money for Andy and Jo’s charity. They put so much energy into it, that it’s a pleasure to support them in such a worthwhile cause.

“All the team at Collaborate and the organising committee of the Awards would like to thank the generosity of the local construction and property professionals who attended, as well as the sponsors. They gave so willingly on the night and it is testament to them that such a large amount was raised.”

The 2019 Guernsey property & Construction Awards will be taking place on 14 November and you can find out more here.
