Saffery Champness has appointed a new Trust Director among a number of other new hires and promotions already this year.

The new posts are across the Guernsey and Switzerland offices.

Dominic Lawton-Smith joins as Trust Direction from Crestbridge, where he led the Cayman private client business and was a Managing Director of the firm’s US joint venture.

He will be based primarily in the UK, supporting Saffery Champness’ fiduciary teams across time zones in Guernsey, Switzerland, Dubai and Grand Cayman.

Also joining Saffery Champness are Sally Hunt – Senior Trust Officer – and Sophie Walden – Compliance Manager. Both will be based in Guernsey.

Taken together, the new appointments see the Saffery Champness team grow to over 100 professionals located across its international offices.

In addition, Saffery Champness also announces the promotion of seven individuals across the firm.

In Guernsey, Claire Tersigni and Simon Ricketts both to Trust Manager; Lily Simmons and Denise Brehaut to Senior Trust Officer; and Caitlin Le Gallez to People & Culture Officer.

Managing Director of Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries, Nick Batiste (pictured), said:

“I am very pleased to welcome Dominic, Sally and Sophie to Saffery Champness. Dominic is well known and highly regarded as a fiduciary expert, not least in the Cayman Islands where his addition brings yet more strength in depth to our growing client offering. At the same time, Sally and Sophie further bolster our Guernsey team as we grow to meet evolving and increasing client demand.

"On behalf of everybody at Saffery Champness I also warmly congratulate all those who have been recognised with promotions. They are well-deserved, and a testament to the hard work, dedication and team ethic which these individuals continue to demonstrate. We pride ourselves on the continual professional development of our people, and it is always rewarding to see brilliant people progressing and building their career journey at Saffery Champness.”
