Two colleagues have been promoted to Partner at KPMG in the Crown Dependencies.

David Alexander and Mark Ashburn have marked the milestone in their careers after both showing dedication to the firm, highlighted in their significant contribution to its growth in recent years, the company said.

David Alexander has become Partner in the firm’s audit practice, bringing with him over 15 years of experience, and operating in a Director role since 2017.

During this time, he has specialised in audits of private equity funds and alternative investment funds including London listed funds and leads the ESG Assurance offering for Guernsey.

Mark Ashburn’s KPMG career began in 2004, starting initially in audit before moving to the advisory team in 2008, where his work has focused on transaction services, primarily working on strategic deals for financial services clients.

In his new role as Advisory Partner, he will also take on a broader role running the deals business for KPMG Islands Group.

 Commenting on Mr Alexander's  promotion, Brian Bethell, Head of Audit at KPMG in the Crown Dependencies, said: “David has become a key leader of our audit team and as part of his new role David will lead the audit practice in Guernsey.

"His innovative thinking and strategic insights have significantly boosted our firm’s capabilities and client services. His promotion to Partner is a well-deserved recognition of his dedication to clients and exceptional performance.”

Of Mr Ashburn's promotion, Russell Kelly, Head of Advisory at KPMG in the Crown Dependencies, added: “Mark has consistently demonstrated outstanding expertise and leadership of the deal advisory team.

"His commitment to delivering high-quality client service and his deep understanding of the industry have been instrumental in driving the firm’s success.”
