Orchard sponsors nature reserve signage

Orchard PR has sponsored a new information board for Le Jardin de Lorette, a nature reserve owned by La Sociètè Guernesiaise.

The St. Sampson's orchard was donated to La Sociètè in 1997 by Lorette Domaille, and holds 80 cider apple trees that primarily provide food for birds during the winter.

Orchard PR, which has offices very close to the site, has funded the creation of the welcome plaque and information board, in the hope it will encourage more people to head along and see what the area has to offer.

"Sponsoring Le Jardin seemed like a perfect fit for us," said Orchard Managing Director, Brooke Kenyon. "It is only a short walk away from our offices, and provides a beautiful spot for some fresh air at lunch. We hope that more people come to visit, and enjoy the plaque which provides interesting knowledge on the animals that can be found there."

Donna Francis, President of La Sociètè, thanked Orchard PR for making the signage possible, and hoped that more people would come to explore the site and the wildlife in the area.

"Earlier in the year we held some bird ringing open days at Le Jardin which were very well received," she added. "We hope to host more activities like this in the future."
