Orchard expands team

Friday 26 July 2019

Orchard PR has made two senior changes to its team with an in-house promotion and a new appointment.

Megan Thoume, who has been with the company for three years, will take on the new role of Digital Content Executive, while Emily Lord has been hired as a Senior Account Executive.

Miss Lord has recently returned to Guernsey after graduating from the Delamar Academy at Middlesex University and spending six years in London.

She joins the agency from MAC Cosmetics, where she managed the brand's involvement at large scale events such as Laurence Olivier Awards, British Independent Film Awards and the Capital FM Summertime Ball. She brings experience in event management and social media, particularly working with influencers.

Miss Lord will work with the Orchard senior team to develop and implement creative campaigns.

"Emily brings something new to Orchard with her experience building relationships with high profile social influencers," said Managing Director Brooke Kenyon. "When used in the right way they can now play a fundamental role in PR strategy. Her event management skills also make her a great fit for our team."

Miss Thoume graduated from the University of Winchester where she received a first Bachelor of Arts Hons in Media Production.

She originally joined Orchard as an intern on the Creative Industries Guernsey Placement Scheme and soon became a permanent member of the team. She uses her skills to create digital content including video and has responsibility for supporting colleagues with a range of clients in the finance, technology, retail and charity sectors.

Last year she achieved the CIPR Professional Certificate and became a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

"We would like to congratulate Megan on her promotion," added Ms Kenyon. "Megan has an excellent range of skills which have enhanced our digital offering immensely in line with the latest industry innovations."
