Guernseywoman Tracey Rear is one of three new Trustees appointed by Lloyds Bank Foundation for the Channel Islands.
Ms Rear, Brian Heath MBE and Neil Fellows have all joined the Board, each providing different skills and background knowledge.
One of those, Ms Rear, has more than 20 years' experience in the charitable sector focused on addiction recovery where she has worked across all areas of operations including: funding applications; project management; outcome monitoring and working with local government.
She has a deep understanding and appreciation of the needs of Bailiwick charities and the communities they support.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms Rear said: “I’d like to think I have a fairly good grasp of some of the challenges local charities face. For me, this is an opportunity to use my experience and knowledge in a new capacity, helping to strengthen relationships between local charities and the Foundation.”
Jerseymen Brian Heath, who already serves on the Management Committees and Boards of four Charities, and Neil Fellows, Senior Manager of Islands Community Banking for Lloyds Bank International, have also been appointed.
Chair of the Foundation, Katie Le Quesne, said the objective with these appointments was to broaden the experience of the Board to ensure we have diversity in skills, opinions and a future-focused perspective.
"The calibre and expertise that Brian, Tracey and Neil bring can’t be underestimated and we are delighted they have volunteered for these important positions."
