Condor Ferries has recruited a new Commercial Director, in a move to "strengthen its experience" at senior levels.

Greg Yeoman joined the company at the start of this month on the 4 June, and is responsible for overseeing all commercial department activities.

His role will be to provide particular emphasis to growing passenger volumes, overseeing external communications and marketing, contributing to strategy and to improving the passenger experience across the Condor fleet.

Paul Luxon, Condor’s CEO, said he was very pleased to welcome Greg to the company as his retail and marketing experience will prove valuable and insightful.

"We are one year into our five year business plan and want to forge ahead with a number of initiatives which include a complete digital transformation of the company alongside further improvements in customer experience. Greg’s background and know how in these areas make his appointment a perfect fit for Condor," he said.

Mr Yeoman moves from The Channel Islands Co-op where he held the position of Chief Marketing Officer. He is a Business Studies and Public Relations graduate, ex-Vice President of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce and brings senior commercial experience previously earned at Marks and Spencer, Safeway, Guernsey Post and Cimandis as well as consultancy roles in change management and communication.

The role is Guernsey based so Mr Yeoman will frequently visit the port and ship network; UK, Channel Islands and St Malo whilst spending time in the Poole office, overseeing a team of 18.
