New leadership at Citizens Advice Guernsey

Wednesday 21 December 2022

Citizens Advice has promoted two experienced individuals to new senior leadership positions to “take the charity forward into 2023”.

Annie Ashmead has become Interim Chief Executive, and Jonathan Dell has been appointed as Chair.

Ms Ashmead, pictured above, said she is looking forward to the future after two successful years at the charity where she moved from volunteering to become the Deputy Chief Executive in a short period.

“I know what an incredible job the volunteers and staff do and what a great service they provide for the community. This year we have helped over 3,600 clients on a wide range of issues including, financial, employment and housing,” she said.

“I’m also really looking forward to continuing working with Kerry Ciotti, who was CEO for 3 years, as she moves to a new role to head up the team of advisers,.”

The Charity’s new Chair, Jonathan Dell, has four years’ experience as the Treasurer and now will work closer with the advice team and management committee.

“We have 23 volunteer advisers offering free advice on a range of matters - I’m so proud of their hard work and dedication to providing such a valuable service to the Guernsey Community,” he added.

Outgoing Interim Chief Executive Kerry Ciotti will continue to use her 14-years experience at the charity in a new role, and thinks the charity will continue to go from strength to strength: “We have a brilliant team of advisers who are totally committed to providing islanders with the advice and support they need.

“With Annie Ashmead taking on the Interim CEO role, I can focus more on service provision and development, as well as being able to fully support our volunteer generalist and money advisers.”
