New Co-op 'divvy' system launches this weekend

Friday 03 February 2023

The new rewards system launched by the Channel Islands Co-op to replace its former 'double divi days' will be trialled this weekend.

Intended to be the first in a series of rewards for its thousands of members across the Channel Islands, the Co-op has announced a new system of Member Reward days.

As part of the new scheme, the Co-op will give members a 10% discount off their shop if it comes to more than £40, as well as their usual 4% dividend which is applicable every time a member shops at a Co-op store or online.

The new Member Rewards scheme follows the removal of the ‘divi stamps’ during the covid pandemic, and more recently, the end of the 1% loyalty bonus for members.

Mark Cox, CEO, of the Channel Islands Co-op shared his excitement at the announcement of the Member Rewards campaign earlier this week.

“This is an exciting time for members of The Channel Islands Co-op and welcomes in a brand-new chapter to what our Society is doing for our members.

“We have listened to our members and understand that for many this is a difficult time as they manage the cost-of-living increases seen across almost every sector. We wanted to respond with an instant reward that would help reduce this impact for as many as possible, so we are introducing new Member Rewards with an immediate discount applied at the till for money off your shop, on top of our regular 4% dividend."
