Mourant Trusts Forums to hear from acclaimed author Philip Marcovici

Thursday 31 January 2019

Channel Islands trust and private wealth specialists will hear from a compelling line up of speakers at the Mourant Trusts Forums this year, including keynote speaker Philip Marcovici, author of the acclaimed book 'The Destructive Power of Family Wealth'.

The annual events are sponsored by Butterfield Trust, and will be held in Guernsey at the St Pierre Park Hotel on 27 February and in Jersey at L'Horizon Hotel on 1 March.

Members of the firm's leading international trusts and private client team will be joined by industry experts to deliver insights on key topics and trends in the private client sector.

Departing Jersey Finance CEO, Geoff Cook, will also be on the speaker panel, following the recent announcement that he will join Mourant as a consultant in early 2019. Both forums will be chaired by Paul Hodgson, Managing Director of Butterfield Trust.

Mourant Partner and Head of the firm's international trusts and private client team, Edward Devenport, said the forums have become key events in the Channel Islands private client and trust world. “In this time of dynamic social, political and regulatory change, we're pleased to welcome our speakers to discuss the current landscape of the private client sector and their predictions for the year ahead. This year’s forumswill cover key issues for trustees and their advisors, and promise to give attendees some real food for thought as well as practical direction to take back to their own organisations,” he said.
