RBC Wealth Management, part of Royal Bank of Canada, has been recognised by mental health charity, Mind, in its Workplace Wellbeing Index Awards, with two awards given to the business for its mental health work across the British Isles.

RBC Wealth Management, which was one of 75 organisations recognised at the charity’s second annual event, received a Gold Award for its commitment in achieving excellence in successfully embedding mental health into its policies and practices, demonstrating a long-term and in-depth commitment to staff mental health.

Further, Gail McCourt, Head of Fiduciary Management at RBC Wealth Management in Jersey, won the Senior Leader Award, recognising her ongoing dedication to championing and promoting good mental health at work.

Mind is a UK-based charity that provides advice and support to those suffering with mental health issues throughout the country. The organisation is also part of Heads Together, a union of eight mental health charities that is endorsed by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index is a benchmark of best policy and practice that celebrates the good work employers are doing to promote and support positive mental health, and providing key recommendations on the specific areas that there is room to improve on.

The awards ceremony took place on 17 April in Central London at BMA House, the headquarters of the British Medical Association. The evening was attended by award winners and was hosted by Alastair Campbell, an Ambassador to Mind.
