Local distillery and liqueur producer, Haut Maison has been awarded silver for its Limoncello at this year’s World Liqueur Awards.
There were more than 150 entries into this year’s awards, with Haut Maison winning on its first attempt. It was also the only producer in the British Isles to receive an award in the fruit liqueur category.

Owner of Haut Maison, James Le Gallez said:
“I’m over the moon at receiving the award and also pleasantly surprised at the same time. I felt like the 2018 crop of lemons were slightly better by comparison to 2019’s which we used for our entry, so I wasn’t overly hopeful we’d come back with a result, so to receive a silver award is absolutely amazing and now I’m confident we can aim for gold once we get our hands on 2020’s fresh batch of Guernsey lemons.
"This is the first time we’ve put any of our range up for an award and the result is testament to the sterling work of our local growers and the small team here at Haut Maison."
The company, which was founded in 2012, launched its Limoncello, made with locally grown lemons, in 2018. The business has since expanded its range of local gins & liqueurs.
