Sales up at Liberation pubs and restaurants

Thursday 19 July 2018

The Channel Island and West Country pub company, the Liberation Group, has recently announced exceptional trading across all channels over the past 10 weeks.

Like-for-like sales at its 44 managed pubs in Guernsey, Jersey and the West Country have leapt 8% as they benefitted from the warmer weather as well as taking advantage of England's terrific run and success in the FIFA World Cup.

Sales in the managed pubs across Guernsey and Jersey have risen by 5.3% and 7.7% respectively with customers cheering the national side on and taking advantage of the excellent weather.

The CEO of the Liberation Group, Mark Crowther said:

"We have focused on heavily on ensuring our sites are offering the best and most welcoming atmosphere be it for the good weather or the football. We worked hard to make our pubs the place to be with outdoor TV screens, additional well stocked bars, and laid on BBQs to support the growing numbers and entertain those watching the beautiful game over the tournament. Our pub teams have been exceptional going the extra mile each day and we are extremely proud of the hard work and the dedication shown."
