Alexandra McInnes has been appointed as Julius Baer's Head of Guernsey.
Mrs McInnes replaces Stephen Burt, who is retiring after 18 years in the role.
Mrs McInnes has almost 20 years' experience in financial services, specialising in the banking industry. She worked in London, New York and Bermuda before returning to Guernsey, her home island, in 2018, where she has since been working for an international private wealth and corporate services provider as Group Chief Operations and Risk Officer.
"I'm pleased to join the team at Julius Baer Guernsey," said Mrs McInnes.
I've enjoyed and been inspired by my interactions to date with the leadership teams across Zurich, London and Guernsey. I look forward to working with them and the fantastic local team as we continue to drive the business in line with the needs of our clients, our staff and the group.
"Stephen is an extremely hard act to follow, and I'd like to thank him not just for his leadership of the bank over the years, but also for putting a structure in place that is built for further success. I view our management team as one of our main strengths and one of the reasons why people enjoy working for Julius Baer.
"I'm excited to be part of the culture of excellence that is well established here and focusing on what we do best: providing personal wealth management services geared around our clients' needs in Guernsey and beyond."

David Durlacher, Sub-region Head of UK/Guernsey, said: "We are thrilled that Alex will be joining Julius Baer to lead this next stage in the development of our business in Guernsey.
"Our location in St. Peter Port is a key part of Julius Baer's global footprint and she will bring a depth of leadership experience as we innovate and grow over the coming years."
Julius Baer has had a presence in Guernsey for more than 30 years. It moved into bespoke offices in Admiral Park in 2022.
It has around 140 local staff and works closely with the group's London operation as well as locations around the world to serve its local and global client base.
