The Van Mossel Automotive Group has bought the Jacksons Group including its car sales and service businesses in Guernsey.
The new owner has more than 330 branches and over 5,000 employees across Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Its four branches across Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and Isle of Wight are all included in the sales, along with the Motor Mall brand.
The Jacksons company, with its headquarters in Jersey, employs 500 staff.
The transaction has been submitted to the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority (JCRA) and is expected to be completed by the end of July.
