The Guernsey branch of the Institute of Directors has released a survey for business leaders to discuss their priorities in the upcoming election, ahead of its mid-term debate event next month.
It's hoped the survey will make sure businesses' needs are part of the conversation as candidates assemble manifestos and the electorate consider their options.
John Clancy, Chair of IoD Guernsey, hopes the election will prepare the island for the "real challenges ahead":
“We will be looking to the next group of deputies to deliver on the 'Revive and Thrive' strategy, and build back the economy to pre covid-19 levels, tackle the pressing issue of climate change, find the island’s role in a post-Brexit Europe and get on top of problems presented by a skills gap and the ageing population.
“We want to ensure our members’ views are represented and prioritised as the new States come together."
The results of the survey will be discussed as part of the mid-term debate next month, and aim to provide the insight needed to focus on issues of relevance to IoD members.
Members of the IoD can complete the survey HERE, while non-members can take part HERE.
