The Guernsey Design Awards 2024 has attracted entries ranging from small interior design schemes to large commercial builds.
The shortlist is now out.
Steve Powell from main sponsor Norman Piette said: “I think this year has brought in the highest number of entries since we came onboard as the sponsor.
“On the one hand it is fantastic to see so many superb projects reflecting the quality of work on island. On the other hand though, it has made shortlisting them extremely difficult.
“All of the projects showcase work that the architects and designers can be incredibly proud of and though we wish we could give recognition to them individually, we have to select those that represent ‘best of breed’ in their categories.
“This year we had some entries of merit that were all similar project types so we have taken the step of adding a new, temporary category of ‘Office Fit Out’ to accommodate them.”
The judging panel includes architects and members from creative industries with expertise in design and visual impact.
There will be ‘The People’s Choice award voted for by the public and the Mitch Sneddon award which is voted for by professionals.
