Resolution IT has partnered with the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation on a special project for its third Annual Design Challenge.
The overall winners of this year’s competition for children in years 3 to 6, one from Jersey and one from Guernsey, will have their designs made into two special pieces of LEGO artwork in one of PPBF's newest flats.
PPBF runs three apartments next to Southampton Hospital called Aggie’s Burrow, Isaac’s Pad and Frankie’s Den for families to stay in if their child is receiving specialist off-island care.
The theme for the design challenge is Transport of the Future.
“This competition is our favourite campaign of the year by far,” said Tove Barnes, Resolution IT’s Brand and Marketing Manager.
“It’s always exciting to see the children’s ideas - their creativity never fails to impress us. We’re delighted to be partnering with PPBF this year, meaning the competition not only benefits schools and students, but an important Channel Island charity too. We look forward to seeing what our entrants come up with and we can’t wait to see the two winning artists’ work come to life in the form of LEGO art.”
PPBF Co-Founder Jo Priaulx said: “PPBF is dedicated to the youngest members of the island community, so we are delighted to be involved in Resolution IT’s competition as it celebrates the creativity of local school children. The winning piece will be displayed in one of our Southampton-based flats, and we’ll be sharing more on this soon; lots of special things have been happening behind the scenes.”
Resolution IT will be providing prizes to the competition winners and runners up, as well as a £500 donation to the two schools with the highest percentage of entries, one in the Bailiwick of Guernsey and one in Jersey.
The competition has also received support from platinum sponsor Plainsail, and prize sponsors; Clicksmith, Fort, Agilisys and Aladdin’s Cave.
The deadline for entries is Friday 17 May.
