Marsden Building Society has now lent out £50,000,000 in mortgages in the island.

It has worked with SPF Private Clients to achieve this milestone since launching in 2018, and is currently the only lender offering mortgage solutions in retirement, as well as interest only options across the majority of its products.

Through SPF, local borrowers can access the Society’s Residential, Retirement, Expat Residential and Expat Buy to Let mortgage solutions.

Rob Pheasey, Chief Executive of Marsden said the occasion was “testament to our commitment to providing accessible and varied mortgage products to our Guernsey residents. We understand the significance of homeownership and the sense of security it brings to families.

“By working closely with the SPF team, we’re able to help the island’s homeowners secure the most suitable mortgage products for their needs. We look forward to continuing this partnership and celebrating the next milestone.”

Pierre Blampied, Managing Director of SPF, added: “Due to market size, Guernsey does not have specialist lenders like those available onshore and so we must continue to look at new products, which are badly needed here.

"Marsden Building Society have brought an extremely important offering to Guernsey as they provide mortgages which no other mainstream lender does locally. It is a pleasure to work with Rob and his team and we are looking forward to reaching the next milestone together.”
