Discover Guernsey – Recruitment help for local finance employers

Monday 08 April 2019

The Guernsey International Business Association (GIBA) has published a new recruitment tool to help attract professionals to relocate to Guernsey.

As the representative body of Guernsey’s finance industry, GIBA Chairman David Oxburgh said they wanted to support firms with the recruitment process and help demonstrate why the island is a fantastic place to live and work.

“The continuing success of Guernsey’s economy depends on finding the best people with the expertise needed to contribute to the sector," he said.

“Many professionals have discovered that Guernsey, with its thriving financial services industry, is the ideal location in which to enjoy a high-flying career balanced with a healthy lifestyle outside of work.”

“We hope this guide will provide professionals with a solid foundation on which to make a decision about relocating to our beautiful island. As a small jurisdiction, we punch above our weight when it comes to providing professionals with a fulfilling and varied career in a unique setting and we are keen to spread this message."

The interactive PDF covers a broad range of topics including an overview of the financial services sector and some of the practicalities of living in Guernsey, such as finding a dream home, sport and leisure opportunities and some of the island’s restaurants and bars. More information can be found on the GIBA website.

The PDF, which was produced by Black Vanilla and The Potting Shed, has been well received by industry professionals and other associations and is available for all financial services employers to use in their recruitment process.
