Digital Greenhouse reveals latest successes

Friday 10 March 2023

The Digital Greenhouse's annual report for 2022 shows it helped 240 people gain new qualifications while helping 250 entrepreneurs further their business plans.

More than 100 established organisations were also helped by the facility in the Market while its staff also helped in the launch of numerous other ventures.

Director at the Digital Greenhouse, Lucy Kirby, said the annual update can be read in full on its website.

“We are pleased to share this annual update with you and hope it brings our work to life. Programmes across 2022 have showcased and celebrated the breadth of innovation and entrepreneurship in the island, with tech, data and sustainability being top areas of focus. The success and impact as an innovation and entrepreneurial hub would not be possible without the continued support from the Committee for Economic Development and our key industry sponsors and partners, who enable us to deliver initiatives without cost to the public, ensuring that we are a fully accessible service for the whole community.”

Established in 2016, the Digital Greenhouse was an initiative to bring together individuals, community and industry to deliver an innovation and entrepreneurial hub. Deputy Sasha Kazantseva-Miller, member of the Committee for Economic Development said it is proving to be a success story for the island.

“The Digital Greenhouse continues playing a central role in supporting the States of Guernsey’s strong commitment to investing in the digital, skills and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

"The continuous evolution and development of the programs and services provided by the Digital Greenhouse are in large part thanks to the partnerships and engagement with industry and members and I would like to thank all businesses and individuals that have been involved in making it happen.”
