10 new recruits have joined Deloitte's office in Guernsey with four graduates and six school leavers among them.

Joining the Guernsey Audit team are graduates Laura Fell, a local student who studied Archaeological Studies and Spanish at the University of Exeter; Janki Patel from Surrey who studied Business and Management at the University of Portsmouth; Sonny Neal from Gloucester, who attended the University of Birmingham and studied Politics and Economics; and Shreya Madan from Birmingham, who attended the Bangalore University studying Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance).

Among the 24 in total joining the Channel Island branches, 14 have joined Deloitte’s BrightStart programme which allows them to start a professional career straight after school, with the opportunity to study towards either a professional ACCA or ACA qualification.

The 'BrightStarts' in the Guernsey Audit team are local school leavers, Jean-Marc (Johnny) Banneville; who attended Elizabeth College, Sebastian Robinson, who studied at the Sixth Form Centre and James Gaudion, also from the Sixth Form Centre. Also joining is Darren Manyere who studied his A Levels at The Grammar School in Leeds.

Other new recruits include Anastacia Inder who has joined as a BrightStart in the Guernsey Tax team and studied for her International Baccalaureate at the Sixth Form Centre; and Jessica Rowe, who joined the firm on Industrial Placement last year and has now joined the team as an Advisory BrightStart. She also studied for the IB at the Sixth Form Centre.

Theo Brennand, Partner at Deloitte, welcomed them all.

"We are proud to welcome 24 new talented recruits to our Deloitte teams across the Channel Islands. Our BrightStart and Graduate programmes give young people the chance to earn whilst they learn and study to become fully qualified accountants.

"I’m looking forward to seeing everyone progress through their careers at Deloitte."
