Condor funds high-vis winter workout gear

Condor Ferries has made a donation from its Community Fund to keep members of wellness and fitness group Isle Health warm and visible during its outdoor activities.

The donation was used to buy umbrellas, T- shirts, hi-viz jackets and coats, along with a small first aid kit for use by participants on the group's regular walks around the island’s coast.

Megan Seward, Director of Isle Health, was really pleased with the new equipment.

"We are very passionate about health and wellbeing so work closely with local people on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle in today’s society, so that everyone here can benefit from the positive impact it can have on physical, social and emotional well-being.

"The new gear is great as it kits out our walking groups and will encourage more to join in our regular activities so they can really get the most out of life. The support of Condor is really appreciated, as it helps us keep participants warm and well lit, particularly when we enter the darker, colder months of the year."

Condor’s Community Fund was originally established in 2019 to support community activities.

Greg Yeoman, Condor’s Commercial Director, said the fund gets multiple applications each year.

"The applications we receive through the Fund really show there is some fabulous work being done to support those in our community. We are delighted to support Megan and her group and hope this inspires others to get out and keep themselves fit."

Isle Health was established in 2021 and offers a variety of bespoke exercise programmes for people with medical barriers to exercise, working on a referral basis through a GP or medical professional to improve health.
