Two newly qualified lawyers have been promoted to Associates at Collas Crill in Guernsey and a third in Jersey.

Jessica Burgess and Laura Smith from Guernsey have qualified as Solicitors of England and Wales.

Millie Thompson from Jersey has qualified too.

Ms Burgess has joined the International Private Client and Trusts Team, while Ms Smith and Ms Thompson have joined their respective Dispute Resolutions teams.

Partner and Training Principal at Collas Crill, Ben Havard, said: "We take great pride in our training programme. Our aim is to recruit trainee solicitors who will become our future lawyers and progress to partnership. We look for people who can really add value to our firm as they develop.

"Jessica, Laura and Millie are prime examples of this. They have all showed incredible dedication to their studies while managing a busy workload. Congratulations."

Group Managing Partner Jason Romer said: "Collas Crill is proud to be the firm where brilliant people choose to work and we are passionate about supporting those brilliant people to develop their careers with us. This begins with our traineeships which we launched more than 15 years ago and have been evolving ever since to meet the ever-changing demands of the legal profession and of our clients.

"Jessica, Laura and Millie have become valued members of the firm and I wish them all the best with the next stage of their careers here."
