CI Lawyer recognised as 'INSOL Fellow'

Collas Crill Partner Simon Hurry has become the first lawyer in the Channel Islands to be recognised as an INSOL Fellow.

The International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency, and Bankruptcy Professionals is a worldwide federation of national associations of accountants and lawyers specialising in turnaround and insolvency.

Having passed the association's Global Insolvency Practice Course (GIPC - INSOL's qualification focusing on international insolvency), Mr Hurry is one of only four individuals across the islands to be formally recognised as an INSOL Fellow.

"The GIPC was an intense and positive experience," he said.

"It has broadened and deepened my understanding of cross-border insolvency matters. The tutors are highly experienced, senior practitioners and the content of the course is excellent. I feel very privileged to be part of the INSOL Fellow community, which spans the globe and now includes Jersey."
