Collas Crill acted for a private family office on the £11.5m purchase of two units at Derby Commercial Park, the latest addition to its UK real estate investment portfolio.
Derby Commercial Park is being developed by Goodman, a global leader in the ownership, development and management of industrial property.
The Park is described as well located for logistics and already boasts Ted Baker and global logistics giant CG Robinson as tenants. It is located in the East Midlands provides excellent proximity to labour and strong transport links.
Goodman acquired the 180 acre site in Alvaston Derby in 2005. A multi-million pound infrastructure programme has been undertaken incorporating both on-site works, such as a new bridge over the River Derwent, and off-site works, which encompassed two major roundabouts on the A6 providing first class access into the park.
The deal was led by group partner Michael Morris, assisted by Donald Millar a senior associate in the UK Real Estate team, and Gareth Morgan, a senior associate in the Commercial team who advised on the Guernsey corporate matters.
"It is great to be instructed on this latest acquisition as our client continued its investment in UK Real Estate," Mr Morris said.
"The transaction highlights Collas Crill's ability to deliver effective legal advice on UK commercial real estate projects for overseas investors and demonstrates our ability to provide a one firm solution for the UK transactional work as well as the offshore corporate piece."
